So I picked up this bargain at the Benefit counter a couple months back in the January sales, in
Debenhams but wanted to give it some good time to use the products before reviewing it. I picked this beauty up for just £24.99 which is a bargain as POREfessional on its own is £24.50, and in total worth £44.74!
So in this package I got Porefessional Primer, mini 'It's Potent' Eye Cream and 'That Gal' brightening face primer. For the past 3 months this has been my go-to primer, I had always gone backwards and forwards between this and Macs 'Base Visage'. I was first drawn to it via the packaging, so cute and looks like something from the 50's and when I learnt it was a product to minimize pores I couldn't help but pick it up, as I have very large pores and I'm always looking for ways to hide them. I had read a few good reviews and it is labelled UK's No1 Best Selling Primer (so how could I not try it?!) and for the price I couldn't say no. Does it do what it says? Yes, it creates an amazing base for your foundation with a super silky feel. At first I didn't like the way it felt on my skin, and I felt it didn't 'cover' my pores but after a week or so of using it I could notice the difference when I didn't wear it and now I can't live without it, if I don't wear it I feel my skin looks dull.
That Gal is a fab little brightening primer, with a peachy pink tone, it really does brighten and highlight the face. Highlighters are 1 of my essential makeup products as I feel it just transforms the face. I tend to always pop it along my cheek and brow bone, so it really highlights them areas of my face. It just gives your face a healthy glow and I am really pleased with this product! I have used a number of different brightening primers and this one is in my top 3 for sure but for £22.50 I can't always afford to buy it hence why I use cheaper dupes. But if you have the cash to splash you won't regret it!
Now for the It's Potent Eye Cream, I must say I haven't noticed a difference at all, I am disappointed, but I wasn't expecting a lot as me and eyecreams don't mix well. I find its no different to any other, I don't tend to use eye creams much as they don't seem to work for me and all it does is sting my eye area as I have very sensitive skin around there, and for a massive £23.50 alone I do not think it's worth the price tag, but to get it in mini gift sets like this you can't go wrong but I personally wouldn't go and purchase alone.
I don't know if they do this all the time but I was on the Benefit website earlier and they are offering 2 free samples (pick from- Eye potent, Total Moisture Face Cream, Triple Performing Facial Emulsion or Fakeup Hydrating Crease-Control Concealor) at the checkout and free shipping! So go check it out and grab yourself a bargain!
Have you tried this fab little Benefit kit? What was your thoughts?
